Class descriptions FALL 2024
Classes are 1 hour once a week for 14 weeks at the Annex in Riverside, CA.
Classes are non-sectarian.
Astronomy- Tk-2nd Grade-14 week Class $395 Per Student
Space is a fascinating place where wonders abound! So, let’s explore! As we study and learn, each child will connect with the content by being the lead character in their own beautifully bound space exploration book that they will get to take home at the end of the semester. Included will be fun facts about the planets, the moon, constellations, gravity, dwarf planets, the sun, space travel, and so much more. Come join in the adventure and learn about the vast universe using hands on activities, arts and crafts, literature, and experiments. While this is primarily a science class, other academic areas are integrated as well, such as language arts, history, and math.
Ancient Art History- 2nd- 6th Grade- 14 week Class $395 Per Student
I invite you to the amazing world of Art History…Ancient Art History. Let’s go back in time and learn about the first civilizations and the artwork and architecture that they created. We will study ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, Japan, Mesoamerica, and so much more. Each child will create their own hardcover art history book showcasing their own masterpieces as well as important historical facts (and of course pictures of themselves). The skills of observation, discussion, imagination, creativity, and connection will all be implemented in this class all while having fun! (Careful, this is a messy class, so dress accordingly.)
Earth and Space Science- 3rd- 6th Grade 14 week Class $395 Per Student
This is a fun introduction to Earth and Space Science, the study of the features of the Earth and the universe that surrounds it. Students will enjoy a hands-on approach to earth science while completing a variety of labs, models, games, and art projects. We will cover topics such as the Earth’s layers, plate tectonics, rocks and minerals, weather, volcanoes, earthquakes, and learn about earth’s place in the solar system. Each student will keep a lab notebook documenting what they have learned that they will take home at the end of the semester.

Marine Biology- Midnight Zone- TK-2nd Grade- 14 week class at the Annex in Riverside, CA. $345 per student/per semester
We will dive deep and explore the depths of the ocean and learn about the different animals and the habitats where there is no light. As we discover creatures that live deep in the ocean, each child will be the lead character in their own exploration book. Included will be fun facts about the animals, their classification, anatomy, diet, and behavior and pictures of themselves (this is a great keepsake to enjoy for years to come). Come join in the adventure and learn about all the mysteries that are found deep below the surface of the water.
Art History with the Masters 2- 1st-6th grade – 14 Week Class held at the Annex in Riverside, CA.- $395/ Student
I invite you to the amazing world of Art History! Let’s go back in time and meet the artists that created the world-famous artwork we have come to love. We will begin with the ancient civilizations in Egypt, medieval mosaic creation, continue through the ages where we will sculpt like Ghiberti, we will swirl the paint like the impressionists, use crazy contrasting colors to create pop art, create surrealist masterpieces, and so much more. Each child will create their own hardcover art history books showcasing their own masterpieces following the featured artist’s style, a timeline, and important artist historical facts (and of course pictures of themselves). The skills of observation, discussion, imagination, creativity, and connection will all be implemented in this class all while having fun! (Careful, this is a messy class, so dress accordingly.)

Mysteries and Marvels of the World- 2nd-4th Grade -14 Week Class held at the Annex in Riverside, CA. $385 per student
Come along on an adventure to find some of the most marvelous and mysterious creatures and places in the world. From a colorful dancing spider to lakes filled with jellyfish, and trees that grow crooked to insects that look like orchids. Let’s learn the science behind these fascinating places and creatures. Students will cover a variety of science concepts throughout this course, such as biology, anatomy, botany, chemistry, etymology, and many more. As we study and learn, each child will connect with the content by being the lead character in their own science book. In it they will record important facts about the topics we learn about.
Bananas For Biology!— 2nd-6th Grade $395 Per Student Per semester (14 weeks- 1 hour per week)
This is a fun introduction to Biology, the study of life. Students will enjoy a hands-on approach to biology while completing a variety of labs, models, games, and art projects. We will cover topics such as the cell, DNA and it’s role in tasting, viruses and bacteria, plant life, microscopic life using a high-powered microscope, and so much more. Students will complete their own Biology lab Notebook (featuring silly pictures of themselves) that they will take home at the end of the semester.
The Science of ME!— TK- 2nd Grade $385 Per student Per semester (14 weeks- 1 hour per week)
The Science of Me is an anatomy class geared for younger students. We will study how the human body works from the five senses to the major body systems such as digestion, the immune system, and so many more. Kids will have fun learning using hands-on activities, art, literature, dissections, and labs. Each kid will make their own hardcover “Science of Me” book (featuring silly pictures of themselves) that they will take home at the end of the semester.
Marine Biology- Sunlight Zone – Tk-2nd Grade -14 week Class $385 Per Student
Let’s explore the sunlight zone! What creatures will we find there? Colorful fish, dolphins, turtles, sharks, coral reef, and more. Other topics that will be covered include taxonomy, oceanography, ecosystems, marine plants, marine microbes, and more. As we study
and learn, each child will connect with the content by being the lead character in their own exploration Marine Biology book that they will get to take home at the end of class. Included will be fun facts about the animals, their classification, diet, behavior, and silly pictures of themselves. Come join in the adventure and learn about the creatures found in the ocean sunlight zone.

Zany Zoology-2nd- 6th Grade- 14 Week Class -$395 per student
Come take a walk on the wild side while we explore the fantastic world of animals. Learn about amazing mammals, interesting insects, beautiful birds, and much more! This engaging and fun enrichment class will cover the branch of biology that deals with animals and animal life. Some of the topics we will discuss include animal behavior, animal anatomy and physiology, habitats,
and classification. We will learn about animals that slither, fly, swim, and crawl using hands-on activities, crafts, labs, and then we will be creating our own Zany Zoology books (silly kid pics included). Unleash your curiosity as we take a journey through the animal kingdom.
High School Biology Labs and Dissection- 14 weeks -$455 per student
High School Biology Labs: This enrichment class is the Laboratory portion of a high school biology class. Students will become familiar with a microscope, learn lab safety, and interact with hands-on labs for biology. Labs included, but not limited to: Macromolecule testing, DNA extraction, viewing a cheek cell under the microscope, Bacteria samples in a petri dish, diffusion and osmosis, Phospholipid bilayer models, enzymes and digestion, owl pellet dissection, and many more. Cost is $385 per student. All lab supplies and materials are included in the price. Students are required to purchase their own lab goggles and gloves. Labs typically last for 1 hour and include a lab report.
Amazing Anatomy Learning and Lab-
Studying the human body is exciting when it’s hands-on and fun! Learn about cells, organs, learn how to use a high powered microscope, and about how our amazing bodies work in this fun introduction to the study of Anatomy. We will do engaging experiments, build models, and create our own anatomy books filled with the exciting things we learn.
“Amazing Anatomy Learning and Lab” class is $395 per learner.

Outdoor Games– SPRING 2024
This Class is offered for K-3rd Grade for one session and 4rd-8th grade for another session.
The cost for the 14 week Outdoor Games class is $295 per learner. Classes are once and week at the Annex in Riverside, CA. and last 1 hour.
Come Join in the fun as we learn about different sports, play cooperative games, learn good sportsmanship, and get exercise. All PE classes will teach about rules of the several popular sports and outdoor games, then the students will enjoy playing the sport. Sports to include but not limited to: Parachute games, Soccer, wolves den, sharks and minnows, relay races, and many more.
